Building Technology | Finite Element Simulation of Steel Molds for Barite Concrete Irregular Components

The appearance of the wall components in this project is different from conventional wall components.

The three-dimensional shape of a single component placed horizontally is shown in Figure 1.

Due to the requirements of combating radiation effects and building space, the height and thickness dimensions of wall components are relatively large, similar to column type components, and have irregular shapes.

Therefore, a broken line splitting method is adopted.

During installation and construction, the column type wall components need to be arranged and connected to form a front wall, as shown in Figure 2.

The connection surfaces between numerous components need to be tightly fitted, so it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of component dimensions.

Considering the high density of barite concrete, the mold is prone to deformation under stress, so special control of the mold stiffness for this component is required.
